49ers sign Bruce

Well, it didn't take long for Reverend Ike to find a new job. Unfortunately that new job is in San Francisco with the 49ers, the Rams long-time rivals from their California days. I have never liked the 'Niners, but I don't have the passionate hate that came with being a Rams fan back when they were in L.A. The good news for Bruce is that he is reunited with pass-happy coach Mike Martz, who will get the most out of him. The bad news is that the 49ers' QBs suck raw eggs. So how they plan on getting the ball to Bruce is beyond me. Anyway, Ike got a 2 year deal for $6 million. He turned down the Rams offer of 1 year at $3 million, so if he plays both years in Frisco he made a good decision. I hope he can pile up some more stats as a 'Niner (except against the Rams) so that his Hall Of Fame credentials get better and better. Go get 'em, Isaac!

here's hoping that StL fans reverse the trend of booing former players that have moved on (Chris Pronger)when Ike come to town. Hopefully the Rams will show some class and do a tribute to him his first game back.

I agree. Ike was one of the truly great St. Louis Rams. I don't get the booing of former greats. Booing Pronger was sickening.
