40 years ago today...

...America lost part of it's soul when Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated in Memphis, Tennessee. Reverend King was one of the great Americans of my lifetime and his loss was/is immeasurable. His courage in standing up for his belief that every human being deserved to be treated with decency and respect have left a legacy that will be remembered for as long as the United States exists. It's a message that must be preserved and cherished if we are to be a great society.

RIP, Reverend King. May your dream that we one day be judged by our character alone come true.
